Why do I always find tampons and little packets of sugar in old handbags?
I was chatting to the chat room earlier today and actually got a few people to look at my blog for some nanoseconds. I felt sort of pleased and honoured but one of my friends said that she could never do a blog, because they had such boring lives. I had to disagree. My life is boring, mundane too. But somehow I have kept this blog going by trying to put a funny slant on everyday things and noticing stuff that some would walk right past.
I bore you all with photos, but I can't take credit for that, its very photogenic around here, the scenery asks to be photographed, although I took very few pix during the winter rainy season (about 9 months of it).
So, today's boring task was to tidy my front room so that I could at least find the chairs somewhere underneath. I found a lot of other things too, and even emptied my pet plastic boxes. They are like dogs now, I sort of walk round them and take them for rides in my car. I have never had the urge to feed them though. I do have my computers in this room too, so I am easily side-tracked.
But one thing that became apparent as I cleared bags, boxes and shelves. My life seems full of places where I leave tampons and small packs of sugar that I feel I am stealing from cafes and restaurants. Its odd, I never find those nice mints they give you at the end of a meal.
Will the trail of tampons disappear if menopause ever hits properly? Anyway, I now have a load of ink stained (damn Oxfam pens!) and sugar coated tampons, in my bathroom.
Sorry.... No photo of that!

My snails are here in Wales, but not doing as well as I had hoped. The intense heat and dryness seems to go against all they want.
4 are healthy, they are eating lettuce as quickly as I can hunt it down here.
But one poor thing has shrunk and has not eaten for months. When I got the ping to say you had put a note on my blog, the poor thing was actually bathing in warm water, I am hoping to revive him/her.
He looks out of his shell, but has so far to actually move to eat, I am not sure he can. Still, I will keep trying, and he has been like this for a while now.
So there you are, Alan... snail news!
Thnx for asking
xx

Hello Sheila,
Chelle here. I was just checking out your blog and love the little tidbits of your life that you are including here. I've often considered starting a blog, but have never gotten around to doing it yet. Keep up the blogging, there's some intersting stuff in here not to mention the beautiful pictures you have included. Very enjoyable I must say.

Lovely to see you here, Chelle. I will be back in Spalding in a few hours... give me a bell, Chelle bell..
Missy Tuesday, I have no idea if I am going to the Expo. "Other commitments" are looming in October, but I will do everything in my power to get to the Expo. You offer of a place to stay is gratefully received and I will be in touch...
Hugs

hahaha on the handbag contents. You will be relieved and lightened-up once menopause is over. I don't miss one dang thing of that part of my life!!!
I'm still blogging away too, but can't get to anything but political comments since I do little but repack for my move - and gag on the daily news here. At least the blog allows me to vent...otherwise I'd have imploded by now. hugs

'The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.'
You are doing exactly that, kiddo. Congratulations!
